WHP: Friends

Are you looking for a volunteering opportunity?
Do you want to give something back to the local community?
Do you want to help support the work that WHP does with local families?
Do you have time to give on a regular basis?

We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled volunteers from across the towns of Kidderminster, Bewdley, Stourport and Hagley to help set up and run a WHP Friends group.

We anticipate that the WHP Friends will function in ways that reinforce and support the work of the WHP Home School Link Worker service across the Wyre Forest and Hagley primary schools. We think that various areas of WHP work could be supported in interesting and innovative ways, through the efforts of the WHP Friends group, working in partnership and in ways yet to be imagined.

  • Do you have experience of making things happen, organising, social media, fundraising, administration, running events?
  • Do you have other skills, knowledge and experience that you might think are relevant?
  • Have you or someone you know been helped by services like WHP in the past and now you want to help by giving something back to support local children and families?
  • Are you interested in supporting family life across four local communities in imaginative ways?

If you answered ‘yes’ then we want to hear from you! Please email us at whp@continu.org.uk  and let us know why you’re interested and how you can help.

Voluntary roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check. The WHP is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
