Haybridge Community Ambassadors Share Safer Internet Day advice

The Haybridge Community Ambassadors delivered Safer Internet themed assemblies in school to mark SID 2015.  All the ambassadors shared the presentation, which looked at digital footprints, inappropriate image sharing, the important of sharing issues with responsible adults and cyber-bullying but also looked at the positive and constructive ways the internet can be used – for example by raising funds and awareness for charities.

Haybridge Community Ambassadors spread Xmas safety message

Year 10 Community Ambassadors and Yr 12 Volunteers joined forces at the Haybridge Xmas Fair to spread the word about how shoppers and residents can keep safe over the festive period. The students gave out leaflets full of safety tips as well as bells for purses, clips for rucksacks, UV marker pens and stickers for marking and identifying property.

They also used the opportunity for promoting the White Ribbon Campaign by giving out flyers and inviting the festive shoppers to wear a white ribbon. About 100 people wore the ribbons on the evening and there was a lot of interest in the campaign.
