Baxter College have held their first meeting with their new Community Ambassadors.
With the support of Mrs Taylor, PCSO Thompson and Jeannette Lane from Safer Wyre Forest, the Community Ambassadors started to overcome their nerves and soon started to exchange ideas on a couple of campaigns.
Our ‘16 Days Of Action’, in support of the White Ribbon Campaign against domestic abuse starts on 25th November and runs until 10th December. This international campaign encourages men to speak out against violence against women and girls.
Our theme this year is a white tree either 1D or 3D with personal pledge ribbons/hands or leaves which all students can be part of. We have had fantastic support previously from all the high schools across Wyre Forest and look forward to working alongside your Community Ambassadors again in raising awareness on domestic abuse.
National Personal Safety Day is on Wednesday 7th October and this year’s theme is urging young men throughout the UK to ‘Keep It REAL’, by making themselves aware of the dangers and taking steps to ensure their own safety.
R is for READY E is for EDUCATE A is for ALERT L is for LEGAL
